Inscribed bricks in Edward Everett Square

Community inscribed bricks were placed throughout the brickwork that surrounds the large Pear and raised planting beds. Community residents, local businesses and friends of the project purchased bricks that honored Dorchester authors, activists, family members, unions, memories, and loved ones. Community support and brick inscriptions not only paid for the 8,000 bricks that were installed in the square, but they also create an opportunity for residents to state what matters to them.
