Students at the Little House Alternative School evaluate the pear as a potential artwork for Dorchester and help create the words to describe the piece

Laura worked with students and teachers at Little House, a nearby school and community center, blocks away from Edward Everett Square.  Students quickly found interest in the Clapp Pear’s tough skin and sweet interior, an idea they could certainly relate to.  Students also appreciated learning something about the community they lived in, and quickly made connections between Dorchester’s history and local street names (Clapp, Harvest)
