To beautify the square around the art works and landscaping, Laura Baring-Gould and John McColgan sought help and collaboration from the neighboring Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman’s Union Training Center. The bricklayers had previously built the two-level townhouses along Columbia Road, and returned as volunteers to help with the renovation of the Square.
