Eddy DeBartoli, neighbor and community advocate, removes weeds from the brickwork at Edward Everett Square
Community residents and neighbors have been extraordinary friends and caretakers to the Square. The original community maintenance group was known as the “Au Pears” (or “Oh, Pears”!) who met over summer months to sweep and clean the Square. Since 2009, community members have had to work more aggressively to clean the square, remove trash and take care of this important community landmark. Their hard work and dedication is appreciated by all.
