Edward Everett Square Today
The work of the Edward Everett Square committee, community residents, the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local 3 and artist Laura Baring-Gould transformed this intersection. While challenges exist, the intersection has become a gateway to Dorchester. Pedestrian access, improved traffic flow and signaling, better signage and trees and landscaping have created a much more human friendly environment. The artwork and interpretive signage in the square now celebrate and educate local residents and visitors about the unique history and human experience in Dorchester.
